The first edition of "Fencing Plus" has already nurtured a group of promising young fencers, and now the next generation is ready to take the stage!

The Kai Tak Sports Initiative "Fencing Plus" Training Programme 2026, sponsored by CTF Life Chow Tai Fook Life, has concluded its registration phase. The programme is currently recruiting children aged 6 to 11 with the potential to receive elite sabre fencing training.

As the exclusive founding insurance partner of Kai Tak Sports Park, Chow Tai Fook Life continues to strongly support the development of sports in Hong Kong, accompanying more children on their journey towards their fencing dreams!

【Programme Highlights】

• Led by former Hong Kong fencing team Olympic representative Lam Hin Chung, together with a professional coaching team providing personal instruction.
• The programme begins with a selection trial, where children's potential is analysed and those with the most promise are selected for the next stage.
• Participants will undergo systematic sabre fencing training through two stages: foundational and advanced.
• Students will showcase what they have learned at the "Fencing Plus" Cup, from which 20 outstanding performers will be selected for an 18-month elite training programme.
• Elite trainees will have the opportunity to participate in overseas competitions, exchanging skills and competing with young fencers from Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and other regions.
• The programme connects directly to Hong Kong’s professional athlete training system for under-14s, paving the way to produce the next world champion.

1. Selection

2. Basic Training
   Date: 19 July to 15 August 2026
3. Advanced Training
   Date: To be announced
4. Competition
   Date: December 2026 or January 2027 (Tentative)
5. Elite Training
   The top 20 fencers will be selected for elite training, with the opportunity to join the Hong Kong elite fencing training system.
