Five Must-goes at Kai Tak Sports Park to Celebrate the Asian Games and Show Support

Kai Tak Sports Park has become one of Hong Kong’s destinations for celebrations of the 20th Asian Games (Asian Games) and the 5th Asian Para Games (Para Games), presenting a vibrant line-up of activities and experiences.

1. TEAM HKG Cheering Installation

Date: From now until 25 Oct 2026
Time: 10:00 to 19:00
Venue: Kai Tak Gallery

In collaboration with the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), Kai Tak Sports Park launched the “TEAM HKG” Cheering Installation in June, collecting more than 1,000 cheering balls with hand-written messages from the public. A selection of these cheering balls was presented to Team Hong Kong, China to accompany the athletes on their Asian Games journey. The cheering balls have now arrived at the Games venues, demonstrating that the city’s wishes and support have truly reached the team. The TEAM HKG Cheering Installation remains on display at Kai Tak Gallery, symbolising the community’s unwavering support for Team Hong Kong, China. 

2. Asian Games-themed Dynamic Light Show on Kai Tak Stadium Façade

Date: From now until 24 Oct 2026
Time: 20:00 - 20:30 
Best Viewing Locations: Kai Tak Shing Fung Road Park, Kai Tak Bridge in Kowloon Bay, Hoi Sham Park Promenade in To Kwa Wan 

Marvel at the Asian Games-themed light show on Kai Tak Stadium’s façade! The stunning display features messages including "GO! TEAM HKG" and “THE PRIDE OF HONG KONG, CHINA” as well as visual elements representing Asian Games sports, showing support for Team Hong Kong, China. 

3. HSBC Presents: Unleash Your Athletic Odyssey 2026 Parent-Child Fun Day

Date: 19 Sep 2026 
Time: 09:00 - 18:00 
Venue: Kai Tak Arena (Sports Hall)

Kai Tak Sports Initiative, the community sports project under Kai Tak Sports Park, join hands with Common Man and the Hong Kong China Sports Alliance to present “Unleash Your Athletic Odyssey 2026 Parent-Child Fun Day” on the Asian Games’ opening day. The event features a wide range of interactive games and experience zones.  Notably, Hong Kong China Rugby Hall of Famer Yiu Kam Shing, alongside a group of professional coaches, lead hands-on, interactive taster sessions and provide expert guidance.

4. FILA “Let’s Support Team HKG” Pop-Up Store

Date: From now until 6 Oct 2026 
Time: 11:30 - 20:30
Venue: Atrium, Kai Tak Mall 2 

The delegation’s ceremonial and presentation uniforms are showcased at the Asian Games pop-up store operated by FILA, the official sports apparel sponsor of the Hong Kong, China delegation. Visitors can personalise their Team Hong Kong, China t-shirts with the store’s heat-press printing service. The pop-up store also features a balance board challenge zone, where successful participants will receive an exclusive sticker featuring “Rock”, the mascot of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.

5. Asian Games Live Zone
Date: From now until 4 Oct 2026 (Selected Competitions) 
Venue: Atrium, Kai Tak Mall 2 

Selected Asian Games competitions broadcast live on the giant screen at the Atrium of Kai Tak Mall 2, allowing visitors to join the city in cheering on Team Hong Kong, China and celebrating the achievements of Hong Kong athletes on Asia’s most prominent sporting stage. 

The live broadcast schedule is subject to change based on on-site factors and television programming schedules.
